Why I do what I do

Hi. Thank you for stopping by.

I’d like to tell you why I do what I do.

I have always been drawn to the beauty of the outdoors. The forests and deserts. The gentle flowing rivers and creeks. The raging ocean waves.

This lead to many years travelling to some of the remotest parts of Australia.

My love of the outdoors is expressed through my landscape photography.

Through my photography, I also want to show people the unusual. Seeing something interesting in the mundane. I love to create an interesting image from something that people would just pass without a second thought.

Why?

Through my photography, I want to convey the feelings that comes to me when I see a potential subject. I want to let people experience what I see when I look around. By creating photographic art, I connect people with their environment. People who are unable to explore the world in which we all live. People who want to see things just a little differently.

My aim is always to capture photographs that provoke emotional connections from those that view them.

The photograph must tell a story.

This is why I do what I do.
