Tuition frequently asked questions

I don’t know a lot about my camera, is your course suitable for a beginner?

The course was created with you in mind. The only prerequisite for this course is that you have a suitable camera and have read your camera manual.

How do I know if my camera is suitable.

My session is designed for people who have a Digital SLR (DSLR) and ‘mirrorless cameras’ such as ‘micro four thirds’. A guide is that if the lens on the camera can be removed, your camera is suitable. You must be able to set your camera on manual mode so you can adjust the Aperture, ISO, and Shutter speed.

If you’re not sure, contact me.

My session is not suitable for compact digital cameras.

On what days do you run the sessions?

Generally Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays are available. I don’t run sessions on Good Friday or Christmas Day.

How do I book you for a session?

Contact me, we’ll arrange a date and you can pay over the phone using your debit or credit card.

Why do you limit the number of people to 1 or 1 + a friend?

Some group courses are cheaper but have larger attendance numbers but rely on a minimum number of people booking. My sessions are very focused on what you want to know and I can spend all my time with you. No minimum number, it’s just you and me. And one of your friends if you want.

Can I purchase a gift voucher for someone special?

How can I pay for a course or gift voucher?

What if I have to cancel my course booking?

If you have to cancel then I will be happy to reschedule to another date providing I am given at least 7 days notice.

Sorry but I am unable to offer refunds (or re-bookings) on cancellations made within 7 days of the course date or for no-shows.
